General description of UAE petroleum jelly
UAE petroleum jelly is made Dubai by the waxy petroleum material that formed on oil rigs and distilling it. The lighter and thinner oil-based products make up vaseline, also known as white petrolatum or simply as petrolatum. The still residue is then filtered through bone char to yield petroleum jelly.
How make white petroleum jelly
It is a blend of Paraffin Oil, Paraffin Wax, and Micro-crystalline Waxes, after heating the Oil till up to 80 deg C, add the waxes and mix them for 3–4 hours then fill the jelly in molten condition in jars/drums and let it cool over 24/48 hours and you have petroleum jelly ready for use. Just avoid using any material with foul smell.
Uses of vaseline
The UAE Petroleum jelly has been used in various ointments and as a lubricant :
