WHAT IS BITUMEN PRIMER?

What is bitumen primer?

Bitumen primer for priming surfaces prior to the application of bituminous materials. Bitumen D 41 can be used to seal and prime concrete, masonry and timber surfaces prior to the application of torch-on waterproofing membranes (where appropriate) and bitumen coatings. Bitumen primer D 41 is a cold applied, solvent based bituminous coating formulated with high quality hard oxidized bitumen compounds and selected hydrocarbon solvents for use as primer to self-adhesive and torch-on membranes on a variety of substrates. Primer D 41 is mainly used as primer to self-adhesive membranes, torch-on membranes and bituminous waterproof coatings on concrete, block work, brickwork and other porous or absorbent surfaces.
